Description
The PERFORMANCE 8 is built for the shop that cuts every day. The 24″ × 48″ bed takes half of a standard sheet in one setup, and the welded steel base and gravity cast aluminum alloy gantry supports absorb vibration during aggressive cuts. Combined with the 190 IPM rapid feed, the frame is what separates it from the DISCOVERY 8 when the machine runs for many hours at a time.
Who the PERFORMANCE 8 suits
Professional woodworkers, cabinet and furniture shops, sign makers and small manufacturers who need consistent output through a full working day. If you run in shorter bursts, the DISCOVERY 8 covers the same bed size on a lighter frame. If you want an automatic tool changer, see the PERFORMANCE 8ATC. Schools can order it as the PERFORMANCE 8 Education Package.

What we see most often
A heavier frame is only useful if the rest of the shop keeps pace. Shops that move up to a PERFORMANCE machine often find that dust collection, material handling and workholding become the limit before the machine does. Plan those three alongside the machine and the added capacity gets used.
