Description
The PERFORMANCE 16ATC is the machine for shops that want large-format capacity and an automatic tool changer that reduces manual tool changes on a heavy frame. Large panels, tabletops, cabinet runs and signage can move through roughing, finishing, drilling and profiling operations with the tool changer switching bits instead of a manual tool change. A 48″ × 48″ bed accepts a half sheet or the full four-foot width of standard sheet material, but not a complete 4′ × 8′ sheet. It is our largest PERFORMANCE Series CNC router, and it is built for high-volume work.
Who the PERFORMANCE 16ATC suits
Production shops, technical programs and manufacturers who cut the full four-foot width of sheet material every day and run jobs that use several tools. For the same work area without a tool changer, see the PERFORMANCE 16. If you want ATC on a lighter frame, see the DISCOVERY 16ATC.

What we see most often
Large machines reward preparation. The shops that get the most from a PERFORMANCE 16ATC arrive on day one with the electrical supply confirmed, the delivery path cleared, a dust collection plan, a workholding plan and a named person responsible for the tool library. Each item is small. Together they decide how quickly the machine pays for itself.
Not sure which size fits your work? Our guide on how to choose a CNC machine walks through the decision.
