Industrial and Mid-Production CO2 Lasers
Full Spectrum PS series covers the industrial mid range: PS20 45W (around $5,649 on sale, regularly $5,999), PS24 90W (around $7,995 on sale, regularly $8,995), PS36 90W (around $9,745 on sale, regularly $11,995), and PS48 90W (around $11,745 on sale, regularly $12,995). How to Choose the Right CO2 Laser for Your Shop or Classroom
Most laser buyers we talk to are trying to figure out which model fits. The answer comes down to three things.
What materials are you cutting and how thick?
Wood under half an inch, acrylic, leather, paper, fabric, and HDU all run comfortably on the 40W and 60W machines (Muse Core, Mira 5S, Mira 7S). Thicker hardwood, dense acrylic, or denser commercial material push you toward 75W, 90W, or 100W models. The Atlas 150W handles continuous production on large panels. CO2 lasers won’t cut bare metal. If you need metal cutting, you want a fibre laser or plasma, not a CO2 system.
What’s your production volume?
A few cutting jobs a week fits a Muse Core or Mira 5S Redline. Daily commercial cutting fits a Mira 7S, Mira 9S, or a PS series Full Spectrum machine. Multiple shifts or production-line work points to a Nova or Atlas. The most common buying mistake we see is shops choosing the smallest laser to save money and outgrowing it inside a year.
What’s your shop or classroom setup?
Every CO2 laser needs ventilation and an exhaust path to the outdoors. Larger industrial systems need more substantial venting infrastructure. We’ll ask about your layout before recommending a machine. We’ve seen too many shops buy great lasers that didn’t fit the available space or didn’t have the venting to run safely.

CO2 Laser vs Small-Format CNC: Which Should You Buy
If you’re trying to decide between a CO2 laser and a small-format CNC for your first machine, the short answer is that they do different work and most production shops eventually want both.
CO2 lasers excel at fine detail, engraving, cutting acrylic and thin material, and clean edges on wood. CNC routers excel at panel cutting, thicker material, 3D milling, and structural shop work. If your work is mostly signs, engraving, or detailed custom pieces, start with a laser. If your work is mostly panel-scale cabinetry or structural woodworking, start with a CNC router. Most growing shops eventually run both.

Setting up a CO2 laser cleanly (mirror alignment, ventilation, water cooling on liquid-cooled tubes, software setup) is detailed work. Experienced operators often handle install in-house. First-time CO2 buyers and schools often add an install and training package to shorten the learning curve. Standalone laser orders ship without on-site setup.

What materials can a CO2 laser cut?

Do I need three-phase power for a CO2 laser?
Most of our CO2 lasers run on standard single-phase power. The Atlas industrial flatbed and larger industrial configurations may have higher electrical requirements. We confirm your electrical setup before quoting.
What ventilation do I need for a CO2 laser?
CO2 lasers need exhaust ventilation to the outdoors to remove smoke and fumes from cutting. We help spec the right exhaust setup based on your shop layout and the materials you’ll be cutting. Plan for ventilation as part of the install budget ($1,000 to $2,500 typical).
How long does it take to learn to use a CO2 laser?
Most operators are producing basic cuts within the first day of focused training and running confident production work within a week. The software is more straightforward than CNC router CAM. Training packages are available as an add-on for buyers who want help getting up to speed.
What’s the warranty on AEON Mira and other lasers in Canada?
Standard manufacturer warranty applies. We coordinate warranty support on your behalf, including parts ordering through the manufacturer. Coverage period varies by model.
Can I see a laser demo before buying?

Laser tubes, lenses, mirrors, and consumables come from the manufacturer. We coordinate the ordering on your behalf so you don’t have to manage the international side yourself.
