Standard Mira 9 vs Mira 9S Redline: What Is the Difference?
The standard Mira 9 uses a traditional CO2 glass laser tube. The Mira 9S Redline upgrades to a higher-speed motion system and improved hardware package, designed for shops that push the machine hard or need faster cycle times.
If you are cutting and engraving daily for production, ask us about the Redline. If you are a shop, school, or maker doing mixed work, the standard Mira 9 is likely all you need.
Is the Mira 9 Right for Your Shop?
The Mira 9 is the right machine if you are doing any of the following:
- Cutting and engraving wood, MDF, acrylic, or leather in a small-to-medium shop
- Running a signage, gifts, or personalization business
- Adding laser capability to a woodworking or maker studio
- Running a school makerspace or technical education program
- Looking to upgrade from a desktop diode laser to a full CO2 machine
If you are cutting full 4×8 sheets of material, look at our AEON Atlas 4×8 flatbed instead. If your budget is tighter and your work area needs are smaller, the Mira 7 (50x70cm) is worth considering.
