Description
A classroom CNC needs more than a machine. Teachers need training, students need software they can open at their own computers, and the room needs a stand, clamps and dust control that suit a shared space. The ACADEMY 1 Education Package brings those pieces together around an enclosed desktop machine.
Who this package suits
Middle schools, high schools and colleges starting a CNC program, and districts equipping several classrooms with the same setup. The ACADEMY 1 is fully enclosed, so the cutting area stays contained, and its 12″ × 12″ size covers signs, inlays, small parts and prototypes. If your projects run longer than 12″, look at the ACADEMY 2 Education Package.
What is included
- ACADEMY 1 enclosed desktop CNC: 12″ × 12″ work area, 1 HP air-cooled spindle, eCNC controller with 7″ touchscreen
- Machine stand and toolbox
- CNC maintenance kit
- 110 dust shoe
- Lateral clamp kit
- Amana Spektra 9-piece bit set with 1/4″ shank
- VCarve Desktop with a 40-seat site license
- EMPOWER[ED] ACADEMY site license: a 16 module CAD and CNC video training series for teachers, with teacher certification

Options: on-site setup and on-site training are available. The ACADEMY 1 is already fully enclosed and has no ATC option. Canadian school installations require a fully enclosed, CSA-approved CNC configuration. United States requirements vary by state and local jurisdiction. Confirm the configuration with our team before ordering.

What we see most often
Schools sometimes budget for the machine and not for the classroom around it. A dedicated circuit, a vacuum for the dust shoe and a plan for who trains the teachers are the three items worth settling early.
